This year has definetly taught me a lot. This year has not only taught me some important lessons, but it has shown me some truths; some very real and important truths. I just thought that I'd share them with you.

The first lesson I learned is that you can't always count on the people you thought you could. You give you trust to someone and you depend on them to be there when you need them, but when things in life don't go as planned, they fall away. Then the moment comes; the moment that you need them the most and reality hits and they aren't there. You can't always count on the people you thought you could.

Boys don't cry. But girls are a different story. Life gets tough and feelings get hurt. You try to stay strong and not seem like a cry baby, but sometimes its okay to cry.

Everytime you saw that special someone you would always get butterflies and you wanted to do something but then a feeling confounded you. Fear. You would become scared of what would happen; if you made a fool of yourself; if he would think that you were nuts, and the list could go on and on. And in the end, you decide that you won't do anything about it. You decided not to make a move all because of fear. Then later on in the day you're still kicking yourself over how stupid were you were for not doing anything about that special someone.  A lesson that every girl should know is to never be scared of what might happen because later on, you're going to regret it. Take a chance and make a move; dont be scared. Never guess what could happen, make a move and find out the truth. 

Many tragedies have happened this year and one major lesson that I hope that all of us have learned is that never take anything for granteed. If its the smallest thing as a cell phone to an ipod to as big as a home or a loved one, never take anything for granteed.

People go out and party all the time. Some people go out drinking every weekend; getting so drunk that they've lost all sense of who they are and everything about what they've done. The most common phrase you hear at those places are " Want a drink?" After that question you tend to hear an arguement of persuasion and many repeated 'no' and possible laughter. But just once, you hear that question being asked and that one and only response of that first and only 'no", and then no more. Real friends are the ones that you say no to and they don't push it.

The most important lesson that I learned and I still continue to learn is to always be yourself. People may cause you to change temporarily but you know who you are. Never change yourself for someone else because there is no point to acting like someone you're not and living a lie that you don't want to be living.
